so i tried to stop smoking on monday and OMG it is hard. i looked up nicoderm cq on the internet. it is really expensive. does anyone know where the cheapest place to buy it is.

It is expensive everywhere. I quit in aug on my own and have not smoked since. Drink lots of water. And buy lollipops every time you want a ciggerete grab a lollipop. Hope this helps.

The last 3 places I have worked has a “smoking Cessation ” program to help their employees, stop smoking. There are hotline that you can call too that give out patches, but you have to go through phone counseling 1x a wk. you go girl I need to quit too.
It is extremely difficult to quit smoking. All nicotine replacements are only effective in the short term,
Try just stopping, hide yourself away somewhere and give yourself a reward (like candy or something you really like) for every day that you haven’t smoked.

Congrats on your desire to quit smoking. I am a quitter myself. It will be one year come April 1st. Only took 7 trys to get this far
You are right that it is hard. The best advice I ever recieved is, do not ignore or try to pretend that you do not feel cravings. Aknowledge that you feel them, but know them for what they are.
Take the moment to feel the craving but do not give into it. Know that what you feel is natural, and that feeling it does not make you weak, or mean that you have to give in to it. Afterwards feel proud of your self for being stronger than your addiction. Know that it will get better. There will be times that are worse than others, but nothing so bad that you can not face it. Celebrate every milestone. Who cares if others do not understand. I celebrate every day.
Also remember N.O.P.E (Not One Puff Ever)
Drink lots of water, and I mean lots. Till you feel slightly ill if need be. Limit caffene as much as you can and avoid alcohol. Many cravings that you feel can be sated by drinking water. This works with food addictions and drug addictions.
Also very important to realize. The patch, the gum, the pills, and hypnosys are all crutches. This is not bad but you must realize that though they can help you, they can not do it for you. You must ultimatly rely on you.
As to your original question. The patch may seem expensive, but really it’s not. When you buy it you will get a coupon for you next box. Also as you step down, you can actually cut the patch in to 1/2s ad then 1/4s to get the desired strenght. This will save you big bucks. I do NOT recommend generics.
